‘G146’ documents the lives of artists emerging from Glasgow’s rising rap music scene, specifically those associated with Stüdio111, located at 146 Crownpoint Road in the east end of the city. The project is led by a 316 page book that features photos and interviews with the artists, and is supported by a documentary and items created for the project’s launch event. The visual identity was inspired by the Crownpoint building’s rich history of industry and design, originally operating as John Lyle & Co’s carpet factory.
