This report looks at the Scottish rap music scene and its need for a dedicated media platform to represent its artists. The aim of the report was to create a media platform that would promote upcoming rap artists in Scotland to a wider audience, increase their exposure and help them establish themselves within their field. The report concluded with a proposal for a new platform, ‘Eminent’, providing a space for Scottish rap artists to be featured and exposed to new audiences through the use of social media pages, a website, and a new video series titled ‘360’. A brand identity was created for the platform to allow ‘Eminent’s’ content to be easily recognisable and provide cohesion across platforms. ‘Eminent’ aims to be the catalyst for the wider acceptance of Scottish rap artists, giving them a platform to showcase themselves and their talent.
